The primary goal of the Institute is to offer university-level language and culture courses for interested students. The so-called "credit courses" are available in accordance with the academic timetable of the University of Miskolc i.e., the courses are in line with the 14-week academic terms (both in the autumn and spring semesters).

The under and postgraduate students (both full-time and part-time) can join the courses through the NEPTUN system, after official and successful registration the courses are free of charge.

Main principles:
• The different language courses are available in the same format: two seminars weekly (2x90 minutes).
• Classes start on the first week of the semester. During the registration week, consultation and information orientations are held indicated in the timetable.
• Courses are free of charge for university students.
• Chinese teachers use English working language, while native Hungarian teachers speak Hungarian as intermediate communication. The contact details of the teachers can be found under "Our team".
• Classes are held at Campus (in Miskolc-Egyetemváros), Rooms 117, 118 and 119 on the 1st floor of Building A/1.
• Levels of education: language courses are available at six levels (from HSK 1 to 6). Courses are indicated by the initials of the Chinese written language exam (HSK, Hanyu Shujping Kaosi). The higher number indicates higher level of knowledge. The HSK 1 courses are for beginners.
• Courses marked HSK 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are the starting courses of the particular levels. HSK 1c, 2c, 3c, 4c and 5c, 6c are the courses of the next phase (continuation) of the level named.
Beginner = HSK1 and 1c - 2 and 2c
Intermediate = HSK 3 and 3c - 4 and 4c
Advanced = HSK 5 and 5c - 6 and 6c
Additional information:
1. The timetable for a given semester is always compiled with the consideration of the students' needs and demands.
2. According to the policy, a language group is launched if at least three students registered. Depending on the number of students, group combinations may happen in the first week of the semester. Thank you for your kind understanding!
3. The minimum required attendance rate on the courses is 66%.
